Importing AutoCAD Drawings to VectorWorks

·         Note: When importing always open a new document (YWA template) and import into that file.  It will then be referenced into other drawings, but this way it won’t bring in all the classes.

·         To import: File, import, import dxf/dwg, choose file, ok

o    Note: sometimes dimensions don’t come in cleanly.  The tic marks appear as very long diagonal lines.  Change the design layer scale (right click on layer, edit) to an architecture scale such as 1/8”=1’-0”.  It most likely is in something like 1:2000, which is causing the dimensions to appear that way.
