Drawing Tags

May 1, 2008

Drawing tags shall be inserted from the Resource Browser and shall never be resized.

  • One tag shall be inserted per Viewport, in the Annotations of the viewport
  • Tags shall be Arial, plain style
  • The end of the tag line shall be anchored to a loci on the title block
  • You can add the following file to your resource browser favorites:
    • Y:002 CAD Standards\VectorWorks Defaults\Symbol Library\Drawing Tags.vwx

Text Standards

May 1, 2008

Fonts shall be:

  • Size 10 (w/ 10pt. spacing) MathSoftText BOLD for Notes and Dimensions
  • Size 18 Arial for Titles
  • The title block shall be set to Arial, plain style.

Text over Hatch

To have your Text read through your Hatch, select the text box and give it a solid white fill. Then, right click and select Send to..> Send to Front. Your text should now be surrounded by a white box the size of your text box.
